"Cyber TipsLine - A "911 for the Net"

The "Cybertips Line" from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is "911" number for the Internet which will work like a hot line or crimestoppers tip line where individuals can report illegal Internet activity related to child pornography and predation.

On March 9, 1998 the National Center for Missing & Exploited children activated the Cyber TipLine during a press conference with United States Senators Judd Gregg (R-NH) and Ernest Hollings (D-SC), officials with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), U. S. Departments of Justice and the Treasury and a coalition of Internet Service Providers (ISPs)
